Anglais pour débutants 1, cours ouvert (EANAO)
APD 1 introduces non–English-speaking students to the English language. The course will help students develop basic English-language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing for everyday purposes. Students will learn and apply a few strategies and techniques to communicate ideas and information independently and enhance the effectiveness of their communications. They will acquire basic oral and oral-visual communication skills by using familiar conversational conventions and vocabulary to interact in real-life situations. They will read and respond to basic and adapted texts such as short illustrated stories, poems, and informational forms. They will write basic texts such as journal entries and brief messages and produce media texts such as e-cards and captions. These learning experiences will provide a foundation for the further development of students’ English-language skills.
